INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC MOBILITY OF THE STUDENTS OF THE INSTITUTE OF LAW AND MODERN TECHNOLOGIES: LECTURE BY SAMIRA MAJIDOVA, THE SENIOR LECTURER OF BAKU SLAVIC UNIVERSITY

Scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Philology and Translation of the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies of KNUTD have been working on the implementation of the international program of academic credit mobility in a distance online format for the students of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design and Baku Slavic University. Within the framework of the mentioned program, on May 01, 2024, the lecture “Azerbaijan is the pearl of the Caucasus” by the lecturer of the Department of European Languages of Baku Slavic University, Samira Majidova, was held. The meeting was attended by the students of the educational programs “English language: translation in business communications” (specialty 035 Philology), “Ukrainian language and literature and English philological studies” (specialty 014 Secondary education), “Economic and legal activity” (specialty 081 Law) and “Political science and public communications” (specialty 052 Politology) of the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies. The event was moderated by the Head of the Department of Philology and Translation, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Yelyzaveta Isakova and Associate Professor of the Department of Philology and Translation, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Svitlana Dvorianchykova.

 

 

Samira Majidova depicted her Motherland as a land of lights and a real pearl of the Caucasus, where the eastern color meets the western progress. The participants learned that Azerbaijan is rich in unique nature and culture, centuries-old history, modern high-quality education, traditions and customs, exquisite cuisine, as well as sincere and hospitable people.

The lecturer said that tourists from all over the world come to Azerbaijan to immerse themselves in its history, touch its cultural heritage, and get acquainted with a variety of flora and fauna.

 

 

 

Fot the students, it was interesting to learn about the fortresses of the Shirvanshahs Palace and the stony streets of the Old City of Baku, the historical and architectural complex of Sheikh Bahauddin in Ganja, the healing black sands of Lankaran, Naftalan resorts, the center of the petrochemical industry of Azerbaijan, Sumgait, the Juma Mosque, Gilahli Mosque and the Sheki Fortress.

At the end of the meeting, the lecturer invited the applicants to pass the test to control the level of knowledge and assimilation of the studied material.
