On May 7, 2024, a tour of the Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies was held for senior students of School of I-III degrees No. 309 in Kyiv. Each department of the Faculty prepared a small presentation about the educational programs and something interesting.
At the Department of Biotechnology, Leather and Fur, the head of the Department, Professor Olena MOKROUSOVA, familiarized schoolchildren with the features of the specialty "Biotechnology and Bioengineering", demonstrated modern laboratories for the educational process and scientific research, and presented the rules for admission to the bachelor's degree. Associate Professor of the Department Nadiya ZHOLOBAK captivated schoolchildren with a microscopic study of cell biology of plant samples.
Volodymyr BESSARABOV, Professor of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy, told the students about the specifics of admission and study under the current educational and professional programs "Industrial Pharmacy" and the new bachelor's program "Innovative Pharmaceutics". After an introductory tour of the training and research laboratory of molecular pharmacology, chemogenomics and biogerontology, the young employees of the Department conducted a master class for schoolchildren on the manufacture of solid dosage forms and the determination of their pharmaco-technological indicators according to the methods of the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine. The schoolchildren were shown the tests "Resistance of tablets to crushing" and "Disintegration". At the end of the meeting, the schoolchildren prepared a sweet vitaminized product using centrifugal fibre formation.
At the Department of Chemical Technologies and Resource Saving, the head of the Department, Victoria PLAVAN, informed the schoolchildren about the specialties "Сhemical Technologies and Engineering" and ""Environmental Engineering" and employment prospects after completing their studies. The operation of the Department's modern equipment was also demonstrated.
Future applicants willingly entered a dialogue, asked questions, and shared their opinions about their professional choice.
