On May 10, 2024, the Rector of the University Ivan Gryshchenko, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, met with the President of the Ukrainian Academy of Architecture Oleh Sleptsov, People's Architect of Ukraine, Doctor of Architecture, Professor, and Vice President of the Academy Mykola Demin, People's Architect of Ukraine, Doctor of Architecture, Professor. The main purpose of the visit was to sign a memorandum of partnership and cooperation between the Ukrainian Academy of Architecture (UAA) and KNUTD.

During the meeting, the negotiations were held on establishing long-term cooperation between the UAA and KNUTD. The University was represented by Kalyna Pashkevych, Dean of the Faculty of Design, Danylo Kosenko, Head of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design, Olena Vasylieva, Head of the Department of Multimedia Design, and staff members of the Faculty of Design.

The parties agreed to cooperate in the field of research in design and architecture, development of design and architectural education, mutual assistance and support in cooperation with government agencies, international and all-Ukrainian organizations, public associations (creative unions), mass media, etc.

During the meeting, Oleh Sleptsov said that the Ukrainian Academy of Architecture is involved in solving problems of theory and practice of preservation, restoration and comprehensive regeneration of historical and architectural objects of cultural heritage, works to restore destroyed objects in the war-affected regions of Ukraine and invited scholars of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design to participate in competitions and conferences organized by the UAA.

The participants of the meeting agreed to cooperate in the implementation of educational and research projects and programs; to facilitate the exchange and dissemination of information on the support of educational programs for the training of higher education students of all levels in environmental design and architecture; to consider topical issues of design and architecture.
