The fruitful long-term cooperation of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design with the leading distributor of professional sewing equipment, SOFTORG Company, is marked by regular social events and projects. So, on May 1, 2024, as part of the work of the scientific clubs "Industrial design and innovative technologies" and "Fashion design using digital technologies", the students of the Department of Fashion and Style of the FACULTY OF ARTS AND FASHION and the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the FACULTY OF MECHATRONICS AND COMPUTER TECHNOLOGIES, KNUTD, accompanied by the academic staff members Alla Rubanka, Halyna Oliynyk, Volodymyr Dvorzhak, Mykola Rubanka had the opportunity to visit the SOFTORG exhibition hall. The head of the Customer Relations Department, Stanislav Porub, gave a lecture entitled "Ways to increase the production efficiency and quality of garments introducing modern high-tech equipment", emphasizing that the study of modern methods of designing and processing of garments directly depends on the choice of innovative and high-tech equipment.

The lecturer focused on the main aspects of the development of the garment industry in Ukraine and highlighted several issues related to the formation of the students’ necessary competencies for further successful employment.

During a tour of the exhibition hall, all the participants of the event got acquainted with the operation of modern, high-tech professional sewing equipment, such as:

• sewing machine with a programmable sewing cycle for processing details along the contour;
• automated machine for making slit pockets;
• automatic machine for adjusting the textile fastener with simultaneous cutting;
• automatic machine for making buttonholes on the entire strip of the shirt;
• and much more modern equipment.

At the end of the lecture, students of the educational programs "Styling, design and artistic finishing of fashion industry products", "Design and technology of garments", "Applied mechanics" and " Industrial engineering" had the opportunity to ask clarifying questions and receive comprehensive, highly professional answers.
