SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION WITH KAUNAS UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (LITHUANIA)

In order to fulfill the joint tasks of the research work “Functional textile materials and products for the needs of the military, doctors, hospitalists and civilians (acronym - ORTOKNIT)” (2024-2025) within the framework of Ukrainian-Lithuanian cooperation from May 7 to 11, 2024 a working visit was held by the Head of the Research Work, Professor of the Department of Fashion Technology of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion, Head of the Research and Development Department, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Prof. Liudmyla HALAVSKA and Head of the Information Support and Technology Transfer Department PhD Olena YERSHOVA.

 

During the visit to Kaunas University of Technology, the executors of the research project met with the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Design Kazimieras JUZĖNAS and the project executors from the Lithuanian side, Deputy Dean for Research Prof. Daiva MIKUČIONIENE and Prof. Rimvydas MILAŠIUS, during which the prospects for further cooperation in scientific and educational activities were outlined (https://fmed.ktu.edu/news/ktu-midf-was-visited-by-guests-from-kyiv-national-university-of-technology-and-design-knutd/).

L. Halavska and O. Yershova had the opportunity to get acquainted with the material and technical base of the educational and scientific laboratories of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Design. As a result of the working meeting with Lithuanian partners, the program of manufacturing prototypes on knitting equipment and further experimental research was agreed upon, and the issues of writing joint publications, participation in international conferences and workshops, and academic mobility of higher education students, including graduate students, were discussed.

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

At the invitation of the Lithuanian side, KNUTD scientists actively participated in the 11th International Young Researchers' Conference on “Industrial Engineering 2024 – from Zero to Hero”, which took place at Kaunas University of Technology on May 9, 2024, to present Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design and its scientific achievements within the framework of the ORTOKNIT project.

The speaker from KNUTD was Olena YERSHOVA, PhD in Economics, who presented her report “Stumps socks: assortment and manufacturing”, which was devoted to the current problem of developing multifunctional stump covers for amputees in Ukraine.

 

The research project “Functional textile materials and products for the needs of the military, doctors, hospitalists and civilians (acronym – ORTOKNIT)” is carried out under the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and Research Council of Lithuania.
