As part of the cooperation of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design with the EKA University of Applied Sciences of the Republic of Latvia, representatives of KNUTD participated in the international week for teachers and the conference "International Scientific Conference Emerging Trends in Economics, Culture and Humanities (etECH2024)" of the Erasmus+ program.
EKA University of Applied Sciences is a participant of the Baltic States program, which unites 160 universities in 14 Baltic Sea countries, and from 2023 is a partner of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design.
As part of the international week of the EKA University of Applied Sciences of the Republic of Latvia. of the Erasmus+ program and the celebration of Europe Day, Lyudmila Hanushchak-Efimenko, vice-rector for scientific and innovative activities, presented the university's scientific research and presented the work of the educational investment-technological cluster of light industry. Special attention is paid to joint innovative projects and developments of 3D modeling, development of academic entrepreneurship within the framework of cooperation between the cluster and the business incubator of the EKA University of Applied Sciences.
At the conference "International Scientific Conference Emerging Trends in Economics, Culture and Humanities", the vice-rector presented the results of joint research of the scientific team of the EKA University of Applied Sciences and Kyiv University of Technology and Design regarding the sustainability of higher education: "Investigating staff's views regarding the sustainability of higher education: a pilot study"!
Representatives of universities from Europe and the USA took part in the conference, special guests were the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Latvia Anatoly Kutsevol; Ambassador Plenipotentiary of Finland in the Republic of Latvia JAAKKO KOIVUSAARI, Honorary Consul of Hungary in the Republic of Latvia H.E. MR GYÖRGY URKUTI; director of the Institute of Economics of the Latvian Academy of Sciences Nina Linde, managing director of the consulting group "DEHORA" Eduard Hegr, Czech Republic.
We are grateful for the participation and cooperation, constant support of our partners from various universities in Europe: Germany, the Republic of Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Portugal, Georgia, Italy, as well as opportunities to exchange experience, presentations of scientific activities university, continuation of implementation of joint scientific projects, for the sake of sustainability of science and education in Ukraine.
