May 22, 2024 was marked by an unforgettable event for young scientists, 3rd year students majoring in 162 "Biotechnology and Bioengineering" Kristina Huseynova and Vladyslava Potupa (scientific adviser - Iryna Voloshyna, Associate Professor of the Department of Biotechnology, Leather and Fur, PhD).

Months of hard work in the laboratories of the Department of Biotechnology, Leather and Fur made it possible to obtain solid scientific results and present them at the XVIII All-Ukrainian Conference of Young Scientists at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv). The students presented the materials of the Biotechnologist scientific club on the topics "Optimization of the synthesis of silver nanoparticles using Lactobacillus" and "Antibacterial properties of Lactobacillus AgNPs", answered questions from the postgraduate students, doctors of sciences, corresponding members and academics who were present at the conference and are members of the Academic Council of the Institute. The research work presented by the students aroused interest and lively discussion among the conference participants, as the topics of scientific research are relevant today.
