EDUCATIONAL AND PRACTICAL SEMINAR “WRITING GRANT APPLICATIONS” FOR THE COMMUNITY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PHILOLOGY AND TRANSLATION

Today makes new demands on university teachers of the new generation. Among the important competencies of a competitive educator, in addition to professional, scientific and pedagogical ones, we should take into consideration the ability to successfully write grant applications and project propositions. In order to advance their skills in writing high-quality grant applications, the community of the Department of Philology and Translation, both teachers and willing students, joined the educational and practical seminar of project writing specialist Serhii Kopa “Writing grant applications”. The event was held on the initiative of Yelizaveta Isakova, Head of the Department of Philology and Translation.

 

 

Serhii Kopa underlined that grants in Ukraine are an effective tool for financing projects, and work on them requires expertise, creative courage, enthusiasm, creativity, coherence and systematicity from the author’s team. The lecturer reviewed the key aspects of writing grant applications and provided sound practical advice to increase the chances of winning a grant.

Scientific and pedagogical staff found out the criteria for a successful project idea, discussed in detail the nuances of the grant application, which relate to its relevance, purpose, indicators, target audience, communication plan, quantitative and qualitative results. The lecturer paid attention to drawing up an effective work plan and a rational budget, which are necessary for the comprehensive implementation of the grant project. After the discussion, the participants started individual work on writing their own projects.

 

 

The educational and practical seminar “Writing grant applications” was very useful for the teachers of the Department of Philology and Translation, because they are willing to attract grant resources for the development of their scientific and educational activities and the implementation of socially important projects.
