Despite the martial law in Ukraine, active preparations for the 2024 admission campaign are underway. To help potential applicants to the Faculty of Arts and Fashion of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, the Open Doors Day was held on May 25, 2024. Traditionally, the meeting was held in a hybrid format, online and in the Mykhailo Voronin Conference Hall.
Moderator of the meeting, Oksana Vodzinska, Deputy Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor of the Department of Fashion Technology, told the audience about the peculiarities of the 2024 admission campaign for the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education.
Larysa Bilotska, Associate Professor of the Department of Fashion and Style, gave a report on the educational programs “Design and technology of garments” and “Modeling, design and artistic decoration of the fashion industry products”. She emphasized the demand for specialists who are trained according to the educational programs at the Faculty of Arts and Fashion of KNUTD.
Oksana Vodzinska, Associate Professor of the Department of Fashion Technology, told about the features of the “Fashion industry” educational program. She focused the attention of potential entrants on the uniqueness of the educational program, which trains specialists in the design and manufacture of shoes, clothes and accessories.
The educational program “Professional education (Technology of consumer industry products)” was presented by Volodymyr Tymenko, Professor of the Department of Professional Education in Technology and Design. He emphasized that graduates of the Department have wide employment opportunities both at enterprises of the fashion industry and at educational institutions of vocational training.
Rymma Kyrychenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Professional Education in Technology and Design, introduced the audience to the educational program “Psychology”, its relevance and wide employment opportunities in educational institutions, rehabilitation centers, psychological services, etc. A new educational program “Social Work” was also announced. It will be opened at the Faculty of Arts and Fashion to train students in 2024.
At the meeting, potential applicants had the opportunity to learn about the peculiarities of the educational process and living conditions in the dormitory of our University, visited the Museum of Embroidery of KNUTD, and inspected specialized laboratories of modern sewing equipment for the manufacture of products for various purposes.
Also on this day, it was a great opportunity for our guests to visit the International Competition of Fashion Designers “Pecherski Kashtany”, which has been a hallmark of the University for almost seven decades. The attendees had the opportunity to see creative student collections of clothing and footwear, textiles and accessories, as well as to talk personally with the students of the University.
The program for applicants of the Open Doors Day at the Faculty of Arts and Fashion turned out to be interesting and emotional, full of vivid impressions of our University.
