PARTICIPATION OF STUDENTS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION AND COMPUTER TECHNOLOGIES IN LIDERS DAY BY UGEN

The Ukrainian brand development agency UGEN organized Liders Day for students from higher education institutions in Ukraine. This project involved a competitive selection among student activists, participants of student parliaments, and other organizations.

Based on the selection results (completed application, motivational letter, and CV), students from the second year of the Department of Information and Computer Technologies at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, specializing in Information Systems and Technologies (groups BIST1-22), Olena UCHEN and Maria KAMENSKA, were invited to attend the event.

The event took place at the premises of the leading IT company Softserve, specializing in consulting and providing services in the field of digital technologies.

The program of the event included engaging lectures from leading Ukrainian companies and their speakers, among which were:

  • "On the Path to Change" by Anna Ovchinnikova (BAT Ukraine);
  • "Responsibility as a Key Skill of a Young Leader" by Anastasia Mikhnevich (ProCredit Bank);
  • "How to Learn Effectively" by professional trainer Marina Sheptytska (MHP);
  • "How to Delegate Tasks and Control Team Workflow Dynamics" by Alexei Gavrish (Credit Agricole);
  • "Managing Personal Knowledge" by Valentina Hrinchenko (Kernel);
  • "How to Learn to Balance Between Learning, Student Initiatives, and Personal Life" by Marta Shtoyko (Hlibprom Concern).

There were also crash test programs for internships and presentations of participants team projects.

In the "Crash Test Internship Programs" section, participants were provided with detailed information about real internship opportunities offered by companies and opportunities for engaging youth in work at leading Ukrainian companies.

The main event of the program was the presentation of team projects. A week before the event, participants were divided into teams and assigned tasks to develop projects on selected topics.

Olena UCHEN and Maria KAMENSKA presented a project on the topic "How to Encourage Youth to Work in Ukraine," where they shared their vision and proposals with stakeholders.

In the category of "Best TikTok," Olena UCHEN was awarded a hoodie by UGEN.

We sincerely thank the team at UGEN and the speakers from leading companies for providing valuable experiences to higher education students. UGEN is focused on the Ukrainian market, supports the Ukrainian economy, and has partnerships with Ukrainian higher education institutions, including Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.
