Defending the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine from the Russian invaders, on 2 July 2024, near the village of Vilcha, Chuhuiv district, Kharkiv region, a graduate of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design Maksym Sakada died from life-threatening injuries.

Maksym Sakada was a graduate of the speciality 075 "Marketing", Faculty of Management and Business Design of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. He was mobilised into the Armed Forces of Ukraine in November 2023, and until his last breath, he was faithful to his constitutional duty to protect his homeland, its sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability.

Maksym Sakada was only 29 years old, a reliable friend, loving son, brother and boyfriend. Maksym loved life, he was open and humane, sincere and responsive, always trying to help and be as useful as possible.

The academic community of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design deeply mourns the irreparable loss of its son, friend, and beloved, and expresses its sincere condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and colleagues of the fallen Hero.
