For many years, the international fashion festival "Kyiv Fashion" has been an authoritative and powerful platform for demonstrating the achievements of the industry, attracting business, establishing new partnerships and monitoring the needs of the modern market, as well as a platform for meeting fashion industry professionals, understanding of current trends and directions of industry development. This summer, the 46th international fashion festival "Kyiv Fashion" was held from July 31 to August 2, 2024.

Traditionally successfully, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design twice a year demonstrates its own achievements of scientific, technical, artistic and creative potential at the University's stand. The festive event was inspired by the Rector of KNUTD Ivan Gryshchenko, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology. Ivan Mykhailovych congratulated the participants and honored guests of the event and emphasized that the University is a leader in the training of highly qualified specialists in the fashion industry and design, has international recognition and a positive image, it is constantly developing, dynamically changing in accordance with the demands of society.

Golda Vinohradska, a longtime friend and partner of KNUTD, founder and owner of TM "Golda", head of the public union "Fashion Globus Ukraine", Vice President of the Confederation of Designers and Stylists of Ukraine, warmly addressed the participants and honored guests with a welcome speech; members of the educational investment-technological cluster of light industry of Kyiv, including Andriy Prokhorovsky, deputy chairman of the cluster council, director of RA.DA LLC, Oleh Pivovar, director of Hidrostyl Scientific and Production Company LLC, Viktor Lischuk, cluster coordinator, professor of the Department of Fashion Technology of the University. Ivan Skorokhodov, director of Research and Innovation of the Softorg company, visited the opening of the stand, congratulated the University on the opening of the University’s branch at the festival, thanked for fruitful cooperation and invited further participation in joint projects, including educational ones.

Pro-rectors, deans, directors of institutes, heads of departments, employees and graduate students of the University took an active part in the exhibition.

Ivan Gryshchenko, guests of honor and employees of the University visited the stands of partners, sponsors and mentors of the University, such as Softorg, LLC TK-Furnitura, etc.

Numerous lectures, business forums and master classes, as part of the fashion festival "Kyiv Fashion", created an atmosphere for fruitful communication between manufacturers, educators, etc. As part of the fashion festival, KNUTD traditionally participates in various events, including lectures. So, on August 1, Golda Vynogradska and teachers of the Department of Fashion Technology of KNUTD - Nataliya Pervaya, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor; Liliya Chertenko, PhD, Associate Professor, presented the lecture "3D4U fashion education for Ukrainian manufacturers of clothing and accessories".

Despite the tight schedule of events, Tetyana Izovit, head of the Ukrlegprom Association, was able to congratulate the KNUTD team. The stand of the University was visited by fellow educators, with whom we have long-standing friendly relations, from Lutsk National Technical University, Khmelnytskyi National University, Kyiv Vocational College of Applied Sciences, and also representatives of the State Employment Service.

Among the visitors to the University's stand were Anastasia Navrotska, a graduate of the EPP "Modeling, Design and Artistic Decoration of Light Industry Products" and Polina Bilous, a student of the EPP "Fashion Industry", BIM-21 Group, whose creative models of clothes and shoes are presented at the exhibition.

The exhibition visitors showed great interest not only in the highly aesthetic models of clothing and footwear presented at the University's stand, but also in scientific and methodological developments for the light industry and educational services provided by Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. 

We sincerely thank the organizers of the International Fashion Festival "Kyiv Fashion" - LLC "Kyiv International Contract Fair" in the person of Yana Chernyavska for the opportunity to exchange ideas, practices, share innovative developments in the fashion industry, establish new contacts for further cooperation, which will contribute to the development of the country's economy, the support of the Armed Forces, and the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
