Despite the hard times for our country, this year, thanks to the full support of the Rector of the University, Academician Ivan Gryshchenko, the positive dynamics of international academic mobility of university faculty and staff, including at the Faculty of Arts and Fashion, is increasing.
On August 1, 2024, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design presented the international grant project "3D Concepts for Fashion Education in Ukraine" (3D4U) on the platform of festival Kyiv Fashion . Kyiv Fashion is the largest industry exhibition in Ukraine for the fashion industry, which has been a meeting place for fashion professionals for 20 years.
The project has brought together partners from Europe and Ukraine, including the International Hellenic University (Greece), Technical University of Dresden (Germany), Technical University of George Asachi in Iași (Romania), Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (Ukraine), Khmelnytsky National University (Ukraine), Lutsk National Technical University (Ukraine), public organization National Sectoral Partnership in the Light Industry of Ukraine "Fashion Globus Ukraine" (Ukraine), and Creative Thinking Development Company "Cre the dev" (Greece).
"3D Concepts for Fashion Education in Ukraine" promotes the development of competencies, capacity building and training to support innovation in the field of 3D concepts, through the internationalization and modernization of Ukrainian higher education institutions, involving them in global digitalization in the field of modern education in the fashion industry.
The project presentation took place in the Kyiv Fashion lecture hall, where each of the exhibitors and visitors had the opportunity to learn about 3D concepts, prospects for their development and implementation in the training of specialists for the light industry.
The project was presented by Golda Vinogradska, President of the NGO "National Sectoral Partnership in the Light Industry of Ukraine "Fashion Globus Ukraine", Nataliia Pervaia, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Fashion Technology at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD), 3D4U project manager from KNUTD, and Lilia Chertenko, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Fashion Technology at KNUTD, responsible for the project.
Golda Vinogradska reported on the globalization of 3D digital concepts in the fashion industry, the participating partners, project goals, and the results expected during the project implementation and capacity building of 3D concepts in Ukraine.

Nataliia Pervaia told about the achievements, opportunities and prospects of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design during the project implementation, why KNUTD is the project coordinator among Ukrainian partners, and expressed gratitude to the organizers of the International Exhibition for the opportunity to present the 3D4U project to the exhibition participants - professionals in the fashion industry and potential leaders of digital technologies in the light industry. Liliia Chertenko reported on 3D concepts in the fashion industry, cooperation with foreign partners, and the possibilities of the KNUTD 3D Concepts Center for training future professionals and improving their skills in building the potential of digital technologies in the light industry.
