Dear first-year students!
On behalf of the University personnel, I congratulate you on the realisation of your dream. I believe that you have chosen your specialty by vocation. I am convinced that you are not only persistent, visionary, but also wise. Because a dream gives you wings. To fly on them, you need to study. So, let's work together.
You are destined to enter the temple of science at a difficult time for the state and each of us in particular. There is a war going on. So, today we say a joint word of gratitude to the soldiers who are defending our homeland. There are representatives of the University among them. Unfortunately, we have also suffered losses. I ask you to pay tribute to them with a minute of silence.
Not only soldiers are holding the frontline, but also the products of our University. You will get acquainted with it. I am sure that over time, you will suggest replenishing its range. This is what we expect from you.
Today, you are freshmen, and believe me, this is the happiest time of your life. For many of you, graduation will almost coincide with the 100th anniversary of KNUTD. Its history is an integral part of the history of the state. So, you are taking over the baton, glorified by labour, scientific and educational achievements.
Please note that the University proudly flies not only the flag of Ukraine but also the flag of the European Union and almost thirty countries whose ambassadors study here. Our University is among the TOP 100 most prestigious design and pharmaceutical schools in the world.
We believe that you will multiply the achievements of many years. Keep working! The state has high hopes for you.
Struggle to make your dream come true. To the delight of you, your parents and your country. You are part of the winning cohort.
Demonstrate this through your daily work. There is no time to play it safe. A good start is half the battle. From this moment on, the clock is ticking for the practical realisation of your dream. Good luck on your journey to happiness.
