On 19 August 2024, the personnel of the Faculty of Design welcomed freshmen! Future designers entered the classrooms of our University and became part of the friendly family of the Faculty of Design.

On behalf of the Rector of the University Ivan Gryshchenko, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, the Dean of the Faculty Kalyna Pashkevych, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, conveyed warm words of congratulations to the freshmen, wished them diligent study, personal development and acquisition of professional skills at KNUTD – the world-famous school of design and art!

The 2024 admission campaign has been successfully completed and more than 350 students have entered KNUTD, choosing the profession of designer and educational programmes of the Faculty of Design “Graphic Design”, “Environmental Design”, “Multimedia Design”, and “Fashion Design”.

The heads of the departments of the Faculty of Design, Nataliia Chuprina, Doctor of Arts, Professor, Ruslana Bezuhla, Doctor of Arts, Associate Professor, Olena Vasylieva, Candidate of Technical Sciences, and Danylo Kosenko, Candidate of Arts, congratulated the freshmen, wished them creative success, interesting and useful student life, and promised to pass on knowledge and skills, as well as to fully support students.

First-year students got to know the Deputy Dean for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Olena Herasymenko, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor, and Liudmyla Melnyk, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Dean’s office staff Victoria Lopatina and Valentyna Prytup. The students were told about the work of the Dean's office, about the modular environment of the educational process, the electronic register, the rules for awarding the scholarship, the work of the KNUTD scientific and technical library, the student cafe, clubs, etc.

Olexandr Vasyliev, Deputy Dean for Educational Work of the Faculty of Design, told the students about the rules of conduct at the University and in the dormitory, and about the organisation of communication with the Dean's office and prezented the academic group curators.

Olha Semenenko, chairman of the student trade union of the Faculty of Design, and Daria Karpenko, chairman of the student self-government of the Faculty of Design, greeted the freshmen and told them about student life. This year, they took the initiative to appoint student tutors from among the senior students to help freshmen adapt to studying at our University as quickly as possible.

We sincerely wish the first-year students good luck, inspiration, and creativity! We wish you to study hard, gain knowledge, and become real professionals!

We are grateful to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to teach students, for the younger generation to study and acquire a profession for the restoration and development of our country!  Together to our victory!
