On September 9, 2024, students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies listened to the lecture "Principles of academic integrity of students of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design." A lecture was given by Olena Stepanova, professor, doctor of cultural studies, head of the Center for Quality Management of Educational Activities of KNUTD.

The lecture was attended by students of higher education in the educational programs "Nano- and micro-technologies in design", "Computer systems and networks", "System analysis and management", "Electromechanics", "Computer engineering", "Home appliances".

Those present at the lecture received detailed information about the "Code of academic integrity of KNUTD", the concepts of "academic integrity" and "academic plagiarism". The lecture emphasized that compliance with academic integrity includes independent performance of tasks, a responsible attitude to the use of information sources with mandatory reference to them, compliance with copyright legislation, as well as providing truthful information about the results of one's educational and scientific activities. This attitude to learning lays the foundation for successful professional development and is the key to the formation of responsible citizens.

Together with the students, the heads of departments of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies and curators of academic groups were present at the lecture. Problems of academic integrity have aroused considerable interest, which indicates the importance and relevance of the topic for modern students.
