On September 11, 2024, a lecture on the principles of academic integrity for Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design students was held. It brought together students from various specialities in the Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies. The speaker was Olena STEPANOVA, professor, doctor of cultural studies, and head of the Center for Quality Management of Educational Activities of KNUTD.

During the lecture, Olena Anatolyivna revealed the essence of the concepts of "academic integrity" and "academic plagiarism", found out the types of violations of academic integrity, highlighted the tools for detecting plagiarism, discussed with students of higher education the basic rules for observing academic integrity when writing scientific research, revealed the types of academic integrity responsibility for violations of academic integrity.

Students of higher education were particularly interested in issues related to plagiarism detection tools. The listeners actively participated in the discussion of the lecture's issues. They received comprehensive answers from the lecturer regarding the consequences of violating the rules of academic integrity and ways to prevent plagiarism when writing qualification papers, scientific articles, and abstracts of reports.
