COLLECTIONS OF STUDENTS AND GRADUATES OF THE FACULTY OF DESIGN PRESENTED AT UKRAINIAN FASHION WEEK SS25

In the first days of autumn, from September 1 to 4, 2024, the anniversary fashion festival UKRAINIAN FASHION WEEK was held in Kyiv. This fashion week became notable not only for the fact that it takes place in our capital during the turbulent times of war, but also especially for the fact that it presents the works of young Ukrainian fashion designers who work and create for the benefit of the restoration of our country.

This year, UKRAINIAN FASHION WEEK presented the collections of young Ukrainian designers of the traditional project “New Names” in a new unusual format – Open Shooting, an open photo session, attended by interested journalists, stylists and fashion activists.

A student of the Department of Art and Fashion Design Alina Mazur (brand ALMAZ.WEAR) presented her MASQUERADE BALL AFTER PARTY collection at the New Names SS25 show, which was successfully demonstrated at the “Pecherski Kashtany” and won the 2nd prize in the nomination "CLOTHING. ECO – FASHION". In addition, the President of the UFW, Iryna Danylevska, who invited then 1st-year student to participate in the New Names SS25 program, noted the collection.

Another bright representative of KNUTD in the New Names SS25 program was Anastasia Naumenko, a 2024 graduate of the Department of Art and Fashion Design. As a finalist of another UKRAINIAN FASHION WEEK project – the "Looking into the Future" competition of young designers, she presented her collection at Berlin Fashion Week, and repeated her success on the New Names SS25 platform. Anastasia's collection was created under the influence of the images of the Ukrainian avant-garde theater and presents promising trends in fashion.

Famous graduates of the Faculty of Design of KNUTD once again pleased their fans. The co-founder of the GUNIA project brand, Maria Gavrilyuk, showed a collection in the Ukrainian style. The show took place near the ancient gate of Kyiv - the Golden Gate, as a traditional Ukrainian wedding.
