On September 4, 2024, the Center for Quality Management of Educational Activities of KNUTD organized a lecture for students of the 1st year of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Culture and Creative Industries on the topic "Principles of academic integrity of students of Kyiv National University of Technology and Design".
The lecture was attended by students of the higher education programs " Acting and production ", "Entrepreneurship in the hotel and restaurant business", "Tourism", "Digital art" , as well as curators of academic groups and the administration of NNIKKI .
Olena Stepanova, head of the Center for Quality Management of Educational Activities, doctor of cultural studies, professor, introduced the students to the purpose and objectives of the Code of Academic Integrity of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design. The content of the concepts "academic integrity", "academic freedom", "scientific ethics", "quality of education" was determined, the main types of violations of academic integrity and the responsibility of higher education students for non-compliance with the principles of academic integrity were revealed.
During the lecture, considerable attention was paid to highlighting the issue of ethical norms of academic activity of participants in the educational process at KNUTD.
The lecturer emphasized that the observance of academic integrity by students of higher education at the University involves: independent performance of the tasks of current, modular and final control; references to sources of information in case of use of ideas, developments, statements, information; compliance with the legislation on copyright and related rights; provision of reliable information about the results of one's own educational (scientific, creative) activities, used research methods and sources of information.
