On September 19, 2024, first-year students from the Department of Information and Computer Technologies, specializing in Software Engineering (121), Information Systems and Technologies (126), and Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies, and Robotics (174), visited the Kyiv office of the leading IT service company SoftServe. The tour was led by curators Antonina Volivach and Yuriy Lebedenko, along with the head of the Student Council of the Faculty of Computer and Information Technologies, Dmytro Malyhin, and student curators Vlad Karakai and Oleksandr Hrozdev. The office introduction was conducted by Roman Kurilenko, Employer Brand Specialist at SoftServe Ukraine.
Roman Kurilenko showcased the workspaces and employee relaxation areas, explaining the corporate culture and principles of organizing the work process within the company.
The first-year students were particularly interested in the lecture about the key technologies and projects that SoftServe is implementing.
The lecturer emphasized the importance of acquiring foundational knowledge in programming languages and other technical subjects at the higher education institution for future internship and employment opportunities within the company.
The first-year students were impressed by the scale of the projects and the technological solutions implemented by the company. Many of them noted that visiting the office provided a new perspective on their future profession and increased their interest in studying modern technologies.
The tour of the SoftServe office was an important milestone in the professional development of first-level (bachelor's degree) students, helping them gain a deeper understanding of the realities of the IT industry.
