Tetiana Dzykovych, group curator, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, shared with them her own experience and advice on starting a successful study. The students introduced themselves to the teachers and other students of the Department of Fashion Technology.

During the first days of study, first-year students attended lectures, practical and laboratory classes, studied new educational components and got to know teachers, discussed new topics in classrooms, which is the basis of their professional growth. The desire for knowledge and the discovery of new horizons form and strengthen the team.

On August 22, 2024, a meeting of students took place with Olena Stepanova, Director of the Center for Quality Management of Educational Activities, Doctor of Cultural Studies. The professor held a public lecture on the topic “Principles of academic integrity of students at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design”. At the event organized by the KNUTD library on August 23, 2024, the students had the opportunity to delve into the past and listened with delight to the stories of the library representatives about the history of the state flag. The library expositions for Independence Day and Memorial Day of Defenders of Ukraine also became important not only as educational, but also as catalysts for deep reflection on the price of freedom. The video presentation, which highlighted the moment of bringing the flag into the Verkhovna Rada, caused a wave of emotions and pride in the audience for this great event. The students actively expressed their impressions, shared their thoughts about the present and future of Ukraine, because preserving the memory of Ukrainian heroes, their courage and resilience is the way to the formation of a strong and responsible civil society.

Visiting the Museum of Embroidery of KNUTD became a real discovery for the students, because each exhibit tells about the multifaceted nature of cultural heritage and the individuality of the creative process. In particular, using the example of the history, features and uniqueness of the phenomenon of Krolevets rushnyks (embroidered towels), she emphasized that embroidery is not only an aesthetic element, but also a carrier of deep meanings associated with folk customs and holidays.

Studying the intricacies of Ukrainian embroidery, the first-year students not only learned about the history of this art, but also immersed themselves in the magical world of traditions and symbols. The students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with embroideries, in which ancient traditions and modern trends are intertwined. Tetiana Oleksandrivna demonstrated how embroidery reflects the uniqueness of each region of Ukraine.
