Visiting art exhibitions, performances, museum expositions is an integral part of the educational process at KNUTD and provides students majoring in 022 Design with the opportunity to understand contemporary art.
On 14 September 2024, applicants for the second educational level of the OP «Design by Type» gr. MGd2-24 and MGd3-24, together with the teacher of the discipline «Design» Sviatoslav Podlevsky visited the marketplace «ALL YOURS». At the New Collections presentation, the masters not only got acquainted with the latest trends in Ukrainian design, but also had the opportunity to analyse the advantages and disadvantages of the selected brands and offer their own redesign options.

On 17 September 2024, first-year students of the «Graphic Design» programme, together with their teacher Sviatoslav Podlevskyi, had a unique opportunity to visit the large-scale «Silvashi Circles» project at the «Ukrainian House» National Centre as part of their studies of the «History of Art and Design».

«Silvashi Circles» is the first museum retrospective of Tiberius Silvashi, which presents his practice in development: in different contexts, media, and with projects that have changed or have not been implemented. Along with Silvashi»s works, 86 authors are represented on the five floors of the Ukrainian House in various forms.
Teachers of the Department of Graphic Design, artists Yevhen Hula, Sviatoslav Podlevskyi, Mykhailo Rudenko, Oksana Maznichenko, Alla Osadcha, Daria Kurowska, and Yelyzaveta Derevianko encourage students to attend art events, hold offsite meetings of academic groups at the National Centre «Ukrainian House», the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, «Triptych Art», Forsa Gallery, SoviArt Contemporary Art Centre, and more.
