On 25-26 September, representatives of the University – Director of the Educational and Methodological Centre for Management of Personnel Training Olena Hryhorevska, Head of the Centre for Education Quality Management Olena Stepanova, Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Creative Industries Lidiia Makarenko, Heads of the Department of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Business Olena Sushchenko and the Department of Performing Arts and Culture Vira Burnazova – attended the Ukrainian Forum of Education Quality organised by the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance.
The Forum brought together over 600 participants from 200 universities. The following top government officials were speakers at the event: Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykhailo Vinnytskyi, Head of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance Andrii Butenko, Head of the State Education Quality Service Ruslan Hurak.
The discussions focused on the development of a new design of the external quality assurance system in Ukraine, trends in European integration of higher education, building mutual trust between stakeholders, topical issues of interaction between the labour market and the higher education system, including the adaptation of the role of universities to the needs of wartime and post-war economic reconstruction of Ukraine. Successful practices of higher education institutions were presented in the following areas: the use of information technology to manage internal quality assurance systems of higher education, experience in accreditation of educational programmes by foreign agencies, organisation of practice-oriented training, and implementation of sustainable development goals in the educational process.
The Forum became an important event for the exchange of experience, ideas and best practices between Ukrainian and international experts from Germany, Belgium, France, Croatia, and created a platform for the exchange of views between educators, scientists, government officials and students on the directions of higher education reform, development of a modern university model, determination of its strategic role and the requirements of the present.
