One of the most important final stages of preparation of qualification papers for students of the second (master's) level of higher education is pre-diploma practice, completed by students of the educational programs "Modeling, Design and Artistic Decoration of Light Industry Products", Design and Technologies of Garments". From August 2 to September 14, 2024, it was traditionally held at advanced enterprises of the garment industry after the completion of the entire cycle of the theoretical training course. The goals of the pre-diploma practice are to generalize and improve the knowledge and skills of students in the future profession, check the possibilities of independent work of a specialist in production conditions. Completion of the pre-diploma practice involves, among other things, the collection of materials for the main sections of the qualification work.

This year, modern enterprises in Ukraine became the main bases for pre-diploma internships - LLC "Ukrtekstil" (Kyiv), LLC "Home textiles" (Kyiv), LLC "KOR APAREL" (Kyiv), LLC "PROVTORG" (Kyiv), LLC "GARNE GROUP" (Rivne), LLC "Aqua-style" (Lviv), LLC "Alles-Ukraine" JV (Lviv), sole proprietor Zhilyova V.S. (Kyiv), sole proprietor Nazarenko N.A. (Kyiv), sole proprietor Protsiv I.V. (City of Dnipro) and others with whom contracts have been concluded. The management of the enterprises and organizations gladly accepted the students and provided production facilities to fulfill the assigned tasks.

During the defense of the reports, the students presented the results of the work on the correspondingly chosen subject of the qualification work. In particular, a structural analysis of the creative source was demonstrated, an artistic image of the consumer was formed, a forecast of the modern form was developed in the form of a symbol-form, a compositional center was determined, a collection was built and it was produced in material. The results of the qualification project on the development of military clothing were also presented.

Research results were presented at competitions and tested at conferences of various levels.

The students of the Department of Fashion and Style demonstrated a high level of training, diligence and perseverance, which was positively evaluated by the management of enterprises. This is confirmed by proposals for employment of graduates at the mentioned enterprises. We express our sincere gratitude to the management of sewing enterprises and organizations for the opportunity for students to apply their theoretical knowledge and gain practical experience.
