In his speech, Mr. Liumanov emphasized the numerous challenges faced by Ukrainian youth in the context of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He noted that the war not only creates dangers but also opens up new opportunities for personal and social development. First of all, the crisis situation encourages young people to rethink their life values and goals. In the face of uncertainty, young people are forced to find new ways of self-realization, which helps to increase their internal motivation.

Amet Liumanov gave examples of young Ukrainians who, despite the difficulties, launch their own projects, they are actively involved in volunteering and social activities, demonstrating extraordinary resilience and creativity.

He also emphasized the importance of a positive attitude toward the future.

The workshop was aimed at fostering a positive attitude of young people towards their future, intensifying the employment process and increasing the level of internal motivation to achieve personal goals. The participants had the opportunity to expand their knowledge and competencies in social cohesion, civic participation and tolerance, which will help strengthen participatory youth policy, as well as practical recommendations on how to support young people in times of war and engage them in the country’s recovery process.

This event was an important step in the development of youth work during the war, designed to provide support and confidence to young people in their strengths and capabilities.
