FOR FUTURE DEVELOPMENT: COOPERATION OF THE FACULTY OF CHEMICAL AND BIOPHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGIES WITH SECONDARY SCHOOL No. 309 OF DARNYTSKY DISTRICT OF KYIV

The Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies actively cooperates with young people and understands the interests of modern teenagers. Virtual reality, artificial intelligence, environmental technologies, design, and fashion – through excursions and master classes, the faculty demonstrates how these trends are integrated with natural sciences, helping school students discover their unique "formula for success."

On October 8, the faculty welcomed school students from School No. 309 (Kyiv).

The visit began with the Department of Biotechnology, Leather, and Fur. The department's academic staff introduced the schoolchildren to the prospects of the biotechnological industry, facilitated communication with university students, and showcased the department's educational laboratories. The school students participated in the "Cells Biology" master class, which included microscopy, slide preparation, and leaf epidermis study.

The academic staff of the Department of Chemical Technology and Resource Saving presented their advanced laboratories. They explained the unique aspects of their educational programs, opportunities for international collaboration, and prospects for participation in global research projects. The guests also visited the Center of 3D Technologies, exploring various products made by university students.

At the Department of Industrial Pharmacy, school students observed modern equipment used in the pharmaceutical industry and learned about the research being conducted. They received information about admission to the "Innovative Pharmaceuticals" and "Industrial Pharmacy" programs. They were also informed about projects implemented in partnership with leading pharmaceutical companies in Ukraine, including the "Farmak ChemPRO 2.0" intensive course and the named scholarship from Farmak.

During the visit, the department staff led a practical master class on producing solid dosage forms and sweet vitamin-enriched products using centrifugal fibre formation. The school students actively participated and received gifts and informational materials.

These meetings help shape an understanding of the practical aspects and opportunities provided by the faculty's programs. We hope this visit inspired the school students and that they will join our welcoming student community someday!
