On September 24-25, 2024, Nataliia Chuprina, head of the Department of Art and Fashion Design of KNUTD, Doctor of Study of Art, Professor, guarantor of the educational programm "Graphic Design" of the bachelor's level, visited the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA), Tallinn, the Republic of Estonia).
The Estonian Academy of Arts is a partner of KNUTD in the CUMULUS association and the European ELIA league. Vice-Rector for Educational Work of the EKA Anne Pikkov conducted a tour of the institution, talked about the educational, scientific and creative activities of the partner institution.
In the course of communication, the main features were determined, emphasizing the similarity of the directions of work of the Faculty of Design of KNUTD and the Estonian Academy of Arts. First of all, these are the areas of training of specialists in fashion design, graphic and multimedia design, and environment design. Each location of the Academy (EKA) demonstrated the achievements of the educational institution and students in one or another area of project creativity. Thus, on the days of the visit, creative students’ works were presented in the space of the Academy, as part of the interim control of completed tasks for the first part of the semester. In particular, Nataliia Chuprina was present at the presentations of works on graphic design and environment design.

Classes at the EKA are held in specialized workshops, the space and equipment of which is organized in accordance with the needs of students' professional training. In addition, in the space of the Academy, cozy places with Wi-Fi equipment are provided for the performance of individual tasks by students.

As in KNUTD, the Estonian Academy of Arts constantly holds lectures by invited leading researchers and practitioners, as evidenced by the free planning of the Academy's space, which is arranged to meet the needs of the educational process and lecturers.

During the communication with the EKA colleagues, special attention was paid to the creation of ecologically oriented works in clothing and footwear design. The colleagues exchanged experience and prospects for the development of this type of design activity in the training of fashion industry professionals.

The EKA-GALERII has been created at the Estonian Academy of Arts, where it is possible to present the works of teachers and students. The gallery is an analogue of the Art Space Center of KNUTD. At the time of Natalia Chuprina's visit, the EKA art gallery exhibited the works of students – future experts in graphic design.

According to the results of the meeting, the representatives of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design Nataliia Chuprina and the Estonian Academy of Arts Anna Pikkov expressed clear intentions to develop cooperation, exchange experience and develop joint projects in the research and project activities, as evidenced by a joint photo against the background of the equal flags of Ukraine, Estonia and the European Union.
