During the meeting, the current state and prospects for the development of military equipment were discussed. Special attention of the students was drawn to the relevance of the introduction of innovative technologies in the production of protective products. Mr. Nikolenko familiarized the students and academic staff of the Department with the peculiarities of his work and formulated before the audience a difficult but interesting and, most importantly, urgent task for our military – to improve individual protection products for a specific purpose. The students and employees of KNUTD were presented with samples of protective materials developed at the enterprise and provided with information on the specifics of their production and technical characteristics. Requirements for the product were also formulated and emphasis was placed on the importance of their compliance. Students can submit their proposals in the form of a sketch, technical drawing or description of constructive and technological solutions.
It should be noted that the academic staff of the Department and students of the educational programs "Design and Technology of Garments" and "Modeling, Design and Artistic Decoration of Light Industry Products" are constantly involved in the creation of high-quality products for Ukrainian soldiers that would meet their requirements and could be transformed to suit the conditions of use. That is why this time the students responded to the manufacturers’ request with interest and enthusiasm, showing high efficiency, intelligence and conscientiousness.
During the meeting, the 3rd- and 4th-year students first (bachelor) level of higher education presented their project, design and technological proposals to the public. A lively discussion ensued, which turned into a real brainstorm! The students generated creative ideas, which will definitely be embodied in real products for the protection of our servicemen.
At the end of the meeting, the students expressed their sincere gratitude for the opportunity to join the current and popular development aimed at strengthening our defense capability and bringing our Victory closer!
