MEETING OF THE SCIENTIFIC CLUB OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY “SCIENTIFIC DEVELOPMENTS IN THE DESIGN AND PRODUCTION OF FASHION INDUSTRY PRODUCTS”

On 8 August 2024, within the framework of the scientific club “Scientific developments in the design and production of fashion industry products” (supervisors: Associate Professors of the Department of Fashion Technology Antonina Babych and Tymofii Lypskyi), a seminar was held on the topic Product competitiveness is the path to success. Students’ report on the international internship at Bartek company (Poland).

The leaders of the scientific club, Associate Professor Antonina Babych and Associate Professor Tymofii Lypskyi, told the students their personal stories of their path to success in the professional field. They introduced the students to modern innovations in fashion products and the competitiveness of products in the market of goods and services.

The report by the students of Group BIMd-21 Svitlana Velitchenko, Anna Stepanova and the student of Group BIMd-22 Ulyana Babak on their practical training under the international internship programme from 1st July 1 to 31st July in the conditions of the profile production of children’s footwear BARTEK S.A., Minsk Mazowiecki, Poland, was heard.

The internship programme provided for the acquisition of new theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of design, modelling, construction and footwear manufacturing technology, which the students managed to do perfectly.

The work at the enterprise was intense, interesting and extremely informative. The students proved their excellent knowledge and skills in practice: mastery of CAD skills in the production of Del Cam Crispin footwear, sketches and technical drawings, making footwear models, layout of footwear models, development of a technological sequence for the production of children’s footwear of various assortments and purposes. They researched and analysed the types of products manufactured by the company, materials and accessories for their manufacture.

 

At the meeting, the leaders of the club emphasised the importance of choosing a profession while still a student, so that everyone has the same path to success for life.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere. All the participants shared their impressions and experience gained during their internship in Poland.

We hope that such working meetings will help students in their development as fashion industry experts and encourage them to pursue their academic studies, creativity and self-development.
