On 19 September 2024, within the framework of the scientific club “Scientific developments in the design and production of fashion industry products” (supervisors: Associate Professors of the Department of Fashion Technology Antonina Babych and Tymofii Lypskyi), a seminar “Innovations in Fashion Industry Products” was held.

The event was organized at the Department of Fashion Technology, KNUTD. The leaders of the club, Antonina Babych and Tymofii Lypskyi, held a seminar in the specified thematic format, acquainted the group with modern innovations in fashion products, technologies of their manufacture and decoration. As examples, the finished products of the students of the Department of Fashion Technology, made under the guidance of A. Babych and T. Lypskyi as part of the club’s work, were presented. Thet were the winners of the international competition “Pecherski Kashtany-2024”.

During the seminar, the importance of using innovative technologies, equipment, methods and tools for the development, manufacture and decoration of fashion products was emphasised.

All participants of the seminar shared their views on the use of traditional and innovative technologies for manufacturing and finishing products, classic and non-typical materials to create modern products in line with fashion trends and the importance of innovations in technology for developing product designs of various shapes.

The students presented scientific reports and presentations on the topic of the seminar “Innovations in Fashion Industry Products”.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere. The results of the scientific club’s work can be used in further research by the club members; in the educational process for students studying under the Fashion Industry educational programmes; in practice when developing product design and manufacturing technology, as well as for preparing scientific publications and creative works on this topic.
