TOUR OF STUDENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND BUSINESS CONSULTING TO THE MONEY MUSEUM

On October 28, 2024, undergraduate students of the Department of Finance and Business Consulting, together with their curators Andrii Zolkover and Dmytro Kovalenko, visited the Money Museum of the National Bank of Ukraine, a place where history and economics intersect, showing how financial systems have developed over the centuries. The purpose of the tour was not only to get acquainted with the exhibits, but also to deepen knowledge of economic history and the development of financial instruments that have become the basis of the modern economy

The students had an opportunity to examine unique specimens of coins used in ancient states, see how the materials and forms of money changed, and learn about the first attempts to standardize currencies. Among the most valuable exhibits was a section devoted to the monetary system of Ukraine, which clearly illustrates the stages of formation of the national currency. The students were particularly interested in the history of the hryvnia and stories about the challenges Ukraine faced in creating a stable currency.

The tour to the Money Museum was aimed at giving the students a deeper understanding of the development of financial systems and the importance of money in different historical periods. It was intended to familiarize them with the evolution of banknotes, the basics of monetary policy and the role of currency in economic processes, which allowed future professionals to see the practical application of knowledge in finance. In addition, the tour helped to form a comprehensive understanding of the impact of money on the development of society and the economy.

The Money Museum has become an important educational platform where students can gain a comprehensive understanding of the history, functions and development of money. This not only complements the learning process, but also makes it possible to feel part of the global economic system.
