The exciting international competition "48 Hours", held in Durban, South Africa, has come to an end. Students majoring in 026 "Performing Arts" at KNUTD (Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design) – future actors from the workshop of L.M. Somov – together with their instructors from the Department of Performing Arts and Culture, A.M. Bineieva, V.P. Demchenko, and L.V. Koshkydko, proudly represented Ukraine on the international stage.
Our students received certificates of participation and numerous warm reviews for their original film. They went through a true challenge: they had only 48 hours to create a fully-fledged, emotionally compelling drama. According to the competition rules, the film had to include a mandatory item – lipstick, a key phrase "Do you think I’d really believe you?" and a character – the president of the studio. Our students' creativity helped them tackle the task, overcome all difficulties, and create a unique film that captivated viewers worldwide.
Participation in the competition provided invaluable practical experience and boosted the students’ confidence. We are also happy for the Ukrainian Association in South Africa, which contributed to this event. This is a significant achievement, and we are proud that the name of Ukraine and Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design resonated worldwide as a symbol of creativity, talent, and resilience!
We express our sincere gratitude to the Rector of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Ivan GRYSHCHENKO, and the Head of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture at KNUTD, Vira BURNAZOVA, for the opportunity to participate in such exciting events. Thanks to everyone who supported us along this journey!
