On October 28, 2024, first-year students majoring in 026 “Stage Art” had a unique opportunity to meet a practitioner Kyrylo Barvytskyi, the founder of We United Production, a full-cycle video production company. The students not only plunged into the world of modern video production together with a professional who knows how to bring any idea to life on the screen, but also learned from Kyrylo’s personal experience and insights how to turn creative ideas into successful projects. Kyrylo spoke about current trends in video production and the specifics of working with media projects of various sizes.
The meeting was not just a lecture on the Arts Management course, but a real journey behind the scenes of the creative industry. Kyrylo explained how video production works from the inside, showed the intricacies of organising filming and creating projects that remain in the memory of viewers. The students had an opportunity to hear about the key stages of video project implementation, the specifics of managing creative teams, and receive valuable advice on working with clients and creating a portfolio. The students heard about the full cycle of working with video – from idea and storyboarding to editing and release of the finished product. He shared how to manage processes, balance creativity and efficiency, and how to convey the client's idea in the most vivid and original way.
The lecturer impressed with specific cases and his own experience of working with well-known brands. Through his inspirational stories, the students saw how even the boldest ideas can become a reality thanks to a well-coordinated team and management skills. During the discussion, the participants learned how a real production works from A to Z and had an opportunity to ask questions about the real challenges faced by modern video makers.
The special focus of the meeting was on how to create a portfolio that speaks for itself, how to build a career in the video industry, and how to work with clients of different levels without losing your own creative voice.
The meeting was not only educational, but also extremely motivating. We thank Kyrylo Barvytskyi for his inspiration and practical advice, which will definitely become a guide for our students on their professional path!
