On November 1, 2024, a team of researchers from Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, namely Olha Haranina, Head of the Department of Fashion Technology; Yevheniia Romaniuk, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electromechanics and Anna Vardanian, PhD student of the Department of Fashion Technology visited the textile plant for the production of fabrics LLC ‘TC DT-Chernihiv’ - one of the enterprises of the trade and production group of companies ‘Textile-Contact’, as part of the implementation of the state order № 151/2023 on the topic “Development of finishing technologies for textile materials for personal protection of military personnel”.
LLC ‘TK DT-Chernihiv’ is one of the largest industrial enterprises in Ukraine producing fabrics for home textiles, focused on large European customers. The company was awarded the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate in 2024 in recognition of its high standards of safety and environmental production, where each stage meets not only national but also international requirements and standards.
During the meeting, the University’s scientists were introduced to modern finishing technologies for textile materials, discussed current production problems and outlined the main ways to solve them.
As part of the scientific and technical work carried out under a government order, samples of textile materials were processed using the laboratory equipment of LLC ‘TC DT-Chernihiv’.
The meeting resulted in the identification of vectors for further cooperation between KNUTD scientists and LLC ‘TC DT-Chernihiv’, aimed at joint development of scientific and technological innovations in the industry. Such meetings help to strengthen ties between the scientific community and representatives of production, ensuring the implementation of advanced solutions in the textile industry of Ukraine.
