In October, scientific and pedagogical staff of the Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design actively conducted career guidance work among students of senior classes of secondary education institutions and graduates of specialized colleges.
On October 10, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of KNUTD Vladyslav STRASHNYI, PhD in Pharmacy, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy Olena ROIK, as well as the master student Anastasia BEGDAY visited the Zhytomyr Basic Pharmaceutical Professional College.
During the meeting, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of KNUTD told the college's graduation courses students about the activities and achievements of our university. They demonstrated the modern material and technical base. They described the conditions for admission and training in the educational and professional programs "Innovative Pharmaceutics", "Industrial Pharmacy" and "European Cosmeceuticals". They talked about employment prospects by profession in the future.

The next event took place from October 22 to 24. The scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy was bidden students of 10th and 11th grades of secondary education institutions welcome: Biotechnological Gymnasium № 177, specialized school of I-III degrees № 135 with in-depth study of the English language; secondary comprehensive school № 67. Excursions to the educational and scientific laboratories of the department, practical master classes and exciting quizzes were organized for schoolchildren. Traditionally, all students and their teachers received practical and tasty gifts.
October 3, Doctor of Technical Science, Professor, Head of the Department of Chemical Technologies and Resource Saving Viktoriia PLAVAN, together with a graduate student, director of the "Polygreen" plant of the "Biosphere" corporation (Fastiv city) Oleg LOZOVYI, visited the "Fastiv Center of Vocational and Technical Education" and the Fastiv Academic Lyceum № 2 to speak about professional orientation. The meetings were attended by students of grades 10-11, who were presented with information about the faculty of chemical and biopharmaceutical technologies, study opportunities and future employment prospects.
On October 23, Doctor of Technical Science, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemical Technologies and Resource Saving, Volodymyr KHOMENKO, together with graduate student Dmytro NIKULIN, conducted four informative and practical lessons for the students of the 10-11th grades of secondary school № 72 in Kyiv during the week of chemistry at school. Schoolchildren enthusiastically observed the reactions of interaction between different classes of inorganic compounds. They also learned about the method of determining the content of nitrates in vegetables and fruits.
On October 30, the Department of Chemical Technologies and Resource Saving teachers held an interactive lesson, "Modern Chemical Technologies", for students of this school at the department. Chair Victoria PLAVAN told the students about the conditions for admission to the bachelor's level educational programs "Chemical Technologies and Engineering" and "Environmental Engineering" and described the features and advantages of these educational programs. Department assistant Dmytro PATLUN demonstrated the brightest reactions in general and inorganic chemistry. The Associate Professor of the Department, Volodymyr KHOMENKO, introduced the applicants to the state-of-the-art equipment owned by the department and spoke in detail about the operation of this equipment and its functionality. Determining the content of precious metals in jewellery using X-ray fluorescence analysis was especially interesting for schoolchildren.
On October 8, 2024, at the Department of Biotechnology, Leather and Fur a master class, "Biology of cells", was held for students of grades 10-11 of secondary school № 309 in Kyiv with the involvement of 2nd-year biotechnological students.
In October, the teachers of the Department of Biotechnology, leather and Fur held meetings with students of grades 10-11 at Taras Shevchenko Ascension Lyceum of Voznesensk City Council, Voznesensk Lyceum "Insite", Lyceum № 8 and Lyceum № 10 Voznesensk City Council, Mykolaiv Secondary Schools № 31 and № 36, and Lyceum № 53 of Mykolaiv city. In educational institutions, a presentation was presented, advertising materials were used, and conversations were held.
On October 25, 2024, an online meeting was held with students of grades 10-11 of Myroniv Academic Lyceum № 1 through the ZOOM platform. A presentation and a video of laboratory work were presented.
