On October 31, 2024, KNUTD’s partners, experts from the tile and sanitary ware showroom "Nano Ceramica" by PORCELANOSA Grupo, conducted a masterclass for second-level (master) students of the "Environmental Design" program. The event, themed "Modern Furniture in Interior Design", was moderated by Svitlana Arsiievych, founder of ARSIEVICH Studio. The participants included Serhii Klimov, General Director of the Nano Ceramica showroom, Anna Nosal, Brand Manager of the showroom, Danylo Kosenko, PhD, Head of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design, and Tetiana Bulhakova, PhD, Associate Professor of the same Department.
The masterclass was held as part of the scientific club "Application of Modern Technologies in Interior Design" (Scientific Advisor: Tetiana Bulhakova).
During the event, the attendees were introduced to innovative technological and aesthetic solutions in modern furniture production and the latest trends from renowned designers and brands in the furniture industry. Special attention was given to advanced materials such as FENIX NTM and HPL ARPA, which are highly resistant to mechanical damage and enable the realization of various design ideas. Discussions about contemporary furniture production trends presented at the latest Milan International Furniture Fair captivated the audience.
The students also toured the “Nano Ceramica” showroom, showcasing cutting-edge finishing materials for walls and floors, including a variety of tiles, wall panels, mosaics, sanitary ware, and furniture samples created by ARSIEVICH Studio.
The audience showed particular interest in samples of the most advanced wall and floor finishing materials by PORCELANOSA, including a wide range of porcelain tiles, stone veneer, fitwall wall panels, and diverse types of mosaics.
The masterclass provided the attendees with up-to-date knowledge of innovative methods, technologies, structural solutions, and modern interior design trends. These insights can be applied in their future practical and research work.
