In response to new challenges, the Ukrainian fashion industry is expanding markets, showing flexibility and adapting its own products to the needs of the time. One of the most powerful enterprises in Ukraine «TK-Domashniy Tekstyl» is forming new vectors for the development of light industry, expanding the orientations of its business, as demand requires it.

On the initiative of Volodymyr Martsenyuk, Managing Partner of «TK-Domashniy Tekstyl», and Anna Nechaieva, Director of the company, the largest domestic home textile company has launched the production of a wide range of knitted products. The company manages to attract the attention of consumers with its unique products by combining modern technologies, creativity and qualified specialists in the knitwear industry. The University works closely with the company, and the teaching and student communities are happy to join the production process through practical training at the company, job placement, study tours and other joint initiatives.

So, on November 6, 2024, students of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education majoring in «182 Light Industry Technologies» under the educational programs «Fashion Industry», «Modeling, Design and Artistic Decoration of Light Industry Products», accompanied by Natalia Ostapenko, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion and Tetіana Dzykovych, Associate Professor of the Department of Fashion Technology, visited LLC «TK-Domashniy Tekstyl».

The students and teachers were warmly welcomed by Natalia Aminova, head of the HR Department of LLC “TK-Domashniy Tekstyl” and told about the new direction of their activity – knitwear production, acquainted with the assortment and technological transitions of production, starting from the manufacture of knitted fabric to the sewing of finished products. The workshop is equipped with modern computerized flat knitting machines from the company «Shima Seiki» (Japan) with more than eight units of the 5th, 7th grades; more than eight units of modern kettle machines; winding machines that simultaneously rewind more than eight bobbins and prepare yarn for knitting, etc. The student youth had a unique opportunity to see the work of knitting machines that have wide pattern and technological capabilities, do not require much time during the filling and manufacture of products, are quite productive and convenient in conditions of rapid change in the assortment, weaves, structures, which is important in conditions of seasonal changes in fashion trends of the modern market assortment.

Larysa Bundalevska, knitting production manager, graduate of DALPU (KNUTD), showed and described the stages of manufacturing parts of future products on modern automated knitting machines that control the process of high-quality knitting, the section of programming weave reports and calculating knitting parts of products along the contour.

Natalia and Larysa introduced the students to the manufactured range of products - jumpers of various sizes, hats, blankets with knitted New Year and animalistic motifs based on jacquard weaving.

They also talked about the section with modern sewing machines and the section of wet-heat treatment for steaming and high-quality processing of product parts. The boilermakers gladly showed the stages of combining parts on boiler machines. Tetіana Dzykovych, Associate Professor of the Department of Fashion Technology, added about the features of knitting patterned weaves, knitting technologies and spoke about design features, technological transitions in the manufacture of knitted products.

In general, knitted production impressed with its scale – powerful automated equipment of various classes, types and innovative technologies. The students received a lot of valuable information, powerful motivation to improve professional skills in the textile industry, were inspired by the production of creative products.
