SCIENTIFIC AND METHODOLOGICAL SEMINAR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND BUSINESS CONSULTING “FINANCIAL LITERACY OF YOUTH AS A BASIS FOR EFFECTIVE FINANCIAL BEHAVIOR IN MODERN CONDITIONS”

On November 14, 2024, the Department of Finance and Business Consulting held an online scientific seminar on the topic “Financial literacy of youth as a basis for effective financial behavior in modern conditions”. The speaker of the event was Anton Kalaturnyi, a financial advisor at Brave Capital, who shared his practical experience and valuable advice with future financiers.

During the seminar, Anton Kalaturnyi emphasized the key role of financial literacy in shaping responsible financial behavior of young people. He emphasized that understanding the basics of financial management allows avoiding critical mistakes in financial decisions, building long-term plans and effectively adapting to economic challenges.

The event brought together students, teachers, and young professionals seeking to improve their knowledge of finance and its proper use. The seminar participants received advice on budget management, income and expense planning, savings and investment. The speaker also revealed the specifics of creating a long-term financial strategy and explained how to avoid common mistakes in handling finances.

A special feature of the seminar was the active involvement of participants through the interactive platform Mentimeter. Everyone could express their opinions and answer questions: "Do you want to achieve success? And what kind of success?".

The key message of the event was that financial literacy is not just a set of knowledge, but a way of thinking. The speaker explained how young people can use basic financial principles in their everyday lives: from smart budgeting to investing in themselves. The event became a platform for discussing not only theory but also practical cases. The participants gave positive feedback on the format of the seminar and noted that it inspired them to take real action.

Such events help young people to adapt to the challenges of today and build their own strategy for success.

This event has once again demonstrated that financial literacy is one of the key factors that allows young people to move forward with confidence despite economic challenges.
