For the first time, the Faculty of Design of KNUTD took part in the meeting of members of the European League of Institutions of Art (ELIA)! On behalf of the Rector of the University Ivan Gryshchenko, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Kalyna Pashkevych, Dean of the Faculty of Design, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, presented the university at ELIA events in Milan (Italy) from November 19 to 23, 2024.

The ELIA is a global European network that provides a dynamic platform for the exchange and development of higher art education, representing more than 300,000 students from more than 290 universities in 52 countries of the world in various fields of art and design. The ELIA advocates the development of higher art education, creating new opportunities for its members and promoting the exchange of best practices. Our University became a member of the ELIA in 2024 thanks to the support of the UAx platform.

On November 19, 2024, a meeting of members of the UAx platform was held as part of the ELIA Biennial Conference 2024. Representatives of art institutions from Ukraine, chaired by Uliana Furiv, manager, and Liza Pryadko, coordinator of the UAx platform, discussed the experience of UAx Abakanowicz Fellowship scholarship students, the future of Ukrainian art institutions, and strategic directions development of the UAx platform.

On November 20-22, 2024, the Faculty of Design took part in the ELIA Biennial Conference 2024 "ARTS PLURAL". During the conference, there was a presentation of KNUTD, numerous platform meetings, workshops, a tour of the laboratories and auditoriums of the NABA – Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (Italy) and other interesting and useful events.

On November 23, 2024, the General Assembly of the ELIA was held, where the members of the executive board and the president of the ELIA, Suzanne Stürmer, presented a report on the activities of the organization during 2022-2024. The ELIA’S Executive Director Maria Hansen presented the new ELIA strategy. A project named "LUMINA" was also presented to support the strategic initiatives of the ELIA, which received network funding within the framework of the EU program "Creative Europe".

During the conference, contacts were established with the executive board of the ELIA, managers of the UAx platform, communication took place with partner institutions from different countries, and possible directions of cooperation between KNUTD and art institutions of the world were outlined.
