As part of the official visit to implement Ukrainian-Turkish cooperation, a long-term partnership agreement was signed at Samsun Ondokuz Mayis University (Republic of Turkey).
On behalf of the rector of the university, academician Ivan HRYSHCHENKO, the vice-rector for scientific and international activities, professor Lyudmila HANUSHCHAK-EFIMENKO, thanked the rector of the university, professor, doctor of medical sciences, Fatma AYDIN, and the entire administration of Samsun Ondokuz Mayis University for their support and the formation of joint future vectors of cooperation!
Samsun Ondokuz Mayis University (OMÜ) is a well-known state university founded in 1975 for the economic development of the Black Sea region.
Founded as a regional university, it has left behind 49 years of historical development in line with its mission: adopting universal values to implement innovations for the benefit of people and society, working with intellectual rigor, and is one of the strongest research and education institutions in Turkey.
Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ), has 20 faculties, 23 colleges, 13 vocational schools, 5 institutes, 1 conservatory and 24 applied research centers in its structure.
OMÜ, with its academic and administrative departments, practicing specialists, experienced teachers, provides education and training at associate, bachelor and master levels. The university has 58 thousand students. The foreign student contingent includes 5261 students from 120 countries of the world. The scientific and pedagogical staff is 2 thousand 348 teachers and 3937 employees. Over the past 40 years, the university has graduated more than 150,000 graduates.
OMÜ is an environmentally sustainable university with an unrivaled material and technical infrastructure, a unique natural landscape of the Kurupelit Campus Center (8,800 acres), stretching along the Black Sea coast.
The university has a separate design and fine arts campus, located on the coast at the entrance to the city, and the Mustafa Kemal Güneşdogdu campus in the city of Çarşamba. In addition to them, there are 10 more campuses in other parts of the university.
Special thanks for the wonderful reception to the student scientific societies, there are 112 of them in the university ecosystem, which are engaged in scientific activities and are involved in the fields of culture, art, sports and career.
