On February 12, 2025, the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design (KNUTD), in partnership with Mingachevir State University (Azerbaijan), successfully launched a series of business trainings with elements of online business simulations. This event is being implemented within the framework of the international Erasmus+ VEHUB4YOU grant project, the key goal of which is to develop entrepreneurial skills and support startup initiatives among students and young entrepreneurs, participants of virtual youth business hubs in both partner countries. The use of international virtual exchanges as a project tool ensures the expansion of the geography of participants, creating a platform for intercultural dialogue and contributing to the formation of an international professional environment for future entrepreneurs.
The first training in a series of eight events planned for 2025, dedicated to the topical topic “Talentonomics: New Challenges for Personal Development,” has become an effective tool for developing participants' personal potential, creativity and entrepreneurial skills using business simulations. This learning format, which combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, allowed participants not only to realize their talents and strengths, but also to develop leadership skills, critical thinking, and the ability to find innovative solutions to difficult situations.
Business simulations used during the training created conditions as close as possible to real business situations. Such an interactive approach to learning contributes to better assimilation of the material and the development of practical skills necessary for success in the modern business environment.
Special attention was paid to the development of creative thinking and the ability to find non-standard solutions. Participants learned how to generate ideas, analyze them and choose the most effective options. This aspect is especially important in the context of rapid change and uncertainty that characterizes the modern world.
The event was organized by the Department of Finance and Business Consulting of KNUTD. Ivan Hrynishyn from the Agency of Industrial Marketing - AIM, an expert in marketing and business development, was the guest speaker of the training. The involvement of practitioners in the training provides a practical orientation of training and helps students to understand current trends in business development.
The training was held in a mixed format, combining the classroom participation of KNUTD students with remote connection of participants from Ukraine and Azerbaijan using the ZOOM platform. The total number of participants in the event was about 200 people, which indicates a significant interest in the training topic and the relevance of the issues discussed.
The knowledge and skills gained in the development of creative thinking, the search for innovative solutions, and the effective use of personal talents, will serve as a solid foundation for participants to be successful in their future professional activities. The organizers are confident that the cycle of business trainings with elements of business simulation, launched within the framework of the Erasmus+ VEHUB4YOU project, will contribute to the development of entrepreneurial culture and increase the competitiveness of young professionals in the international labor market.
