During the second decade of February 2025, the Department of Smart Economics of the Educational and Research Institute of Law and Modern Technologies held a series of scientific and practice-oriented events dedicated to the formation of digital skills in higher economic education.
More than 65 applicants of all levels of higher education in the speciality C1 ‘Economics’ joined the practice-oriented events using the ZOOM platform.
On 14 February 2025, a practical-oriented lecture was held by Dmytro IRNAZAROV, a stakeholder of the Department of Smart Economics, Project Manager of ING Bank. The lecture on the topic ‘The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Formation of Digital Skills of Future Economists’ was held using the ZOOM platform.
Dmytro IRNAZAROV showed the audience a video created by the VEED platform based on artificial intelligence, which clearly demonstrates the impact of artificial intelligence on the economy of countries and future economists in particular.
Dmytro Takhirovych also emphasised that artificial intelligence not only changes the way economic data is analysed, but also creates new requirements for the professional skills of future economists. The speaker demonstrated how artificial intelligence can generate and digitise any idea.
Dmytro Takhirovych emphasised that in the context of digitalisation of economic activity, the ability to effectively use modern technologies and data analysis methods is becoming a key competence required for a successful career for future economists. Dmytro IRNAZAROV noted that students should be responsible for how they use, consume and interact with artificial intelligence. The speaker was actively asked interesting questions, to which Dmytro provided detailed answers.
On 17 February 2025, the Department of Smart Economics held a scientific and practical seminar on the topic ‘Formation of digital skills in economic education students’, which was attended by graduate students, undergraduates, stakeholders and teachers of the Department of Smart Economics.
During the scientific and practical seminar, there was a lively discussion and debate on the problems of modernising educational programmes in line with the new requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the processes of digital transformation of higher education.
Also, the graduate students of the Department of Smart Economics presented the main results of scientific activity and publication activity as part of the interim certification - all graduate students of the Department of Economics were certified positively.
On February 20, 2025, a practice-oriented lecture was held by the stakeholder of the Department of Smart Economics Serhii Volodymyrovych SYNYTSIA, Commercial Director of LLC ‘Service Solutions Company’, on the topic ‘Digital Economy as a Dominant Component in the Professional Development of Economic Applicants’
The lecturer spoke about the beginnings of the digital economy, the evolution of data and modern digital economy technologies.
Sergii Volodymyrovych emphasised that the digital economy plays a key role in the professional development of economists, as it transforms both economic activity and approaches to its analysis.
The lecturer spoke about the high demand for specialists in the digital economy, which creates a need for such professions as smart project managers, software developers, data analysts and digital technologies.
The presentation was also interesting to hear about the ethical and legal aspects of the digital economy and the opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship that require professionals to be able to quickly adopt new technologies, improve their skills and be ready for continuous learning.
Sergii Volodymyrovych outlined the forecast for the development of the digital economy, focusing on new opportunities for the smart economy, innovation and business development in various sectors of the country's economy.
Serhiy SYNYTSA was asked questions from a wide range of audience members, to which he provided thorough and detailed answers.
Our practice-oriented lecture was also joined by colleagues from friendly universities, Ihor Rudyk, Head of the Department of Economics and Finance at the KROK University of Economics and Law, and Nadiia Pysarenko, Head of the Department of Marketing at the Academy of Labour, Social Relations and Tourism. Colleagues also asked questions, which led to an interesting and fruitful discussion.
