Educational, production and pedagogical practices, which began on February, 10, 2025 for the students of the Department of philology and translation of the 1st , 2nd , 3rd , 4th years of study, the first (bachelor) level of higher education, play a significant role in the educational process and course of training competitive specialists.
On February 19, 2025, the guarantor of the educational program “English language: translation in business communications” (specialty 035 Philology), Head of the Department of philology and translation Yelyzaveta Isakova and Associate Professor of the Department of philology and translation Svitlana Dvorianchykova held a meeting between future translators of the 1st-4th years of study with an experienced interpreter Olha Reshotko. The specialist told the students about her career path, the peculiarities of translation work, gave practical advice and answered numerous questions of the audience. The students learnt a lot about starting a professional career, organising business processes and international communication, the secrets of consecutive, simultaneous and written translation and importance of lifelong learning for improving professional skills.
The students thanked the interpreter and agreed to meet again to discuss specific work situations when making and editing translations.
In accordance with the educational program “English language: translation in business communications”, speciality 035 Philology, students of the 2nd year of study, bachelor level of higher education, undergo a practice at Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (the supervisor of the practice from the Department is Nataliia Hudkova, Associate Professor, the supervisor of the practice from the Chamber is Anna Liubyma, Deputy Director of the Department of international cooperation).
On February 21, 2025, students of groups BAM-23 and BZAM-23 took an active part in the meeting of the Academy of Women Leadership, organized by Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a long-term stakeholder of the Department of philology and translation, KNUTD. The meeting, organized by Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the framework of the program "EU4Business: Recovery, Competitiveness and Internationalization of SME (small and medium enterprises)", became an important part of the production practice for our applicants, providing them with a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of international and business communication.
The Academy program of the meeting was dedicated to women leadership in crisis, global business challenges and intercultural communication. Students had the opportunity not only to listen to experts speeches, including Anna Lyubyma (Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Antonina Kurets (PwC), Khrystyna Kurganska (Ol.factory, Kamana), Iryna Varagash (Econia Ukraine), but also to participate in group work on discussing practical cases.
By participating in the event, students of the Department of philology and translation, KNUTD, had an opportunity to immerse in a real business interaction, learn about the specifics of business communication, develop their professional skills and establish useful contacts for starting career.
