On February 25, 2025, a roundtable was held with stakeholders from the academic community, employers, higher education students and graduates of the educational program B2 “Multimedia Design” of the first (bachelor's) level, specialty 022 "Design", field of knowledge 02 "Culture and Art".

The event was attended by: Sviatoslav Berdynskykh, Head of the Department of Design, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor (KROC University of Economics and Law); Natalia Kolesnyk, Associate Professor of the Department of Fine Arts and Design, PhD in Pedagogy (I. The guarantor of the EP “B2 Multimedia Design” of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education, Head of the Department of Multimedia Design, Olena Vasylieva, familiarized stakeholders with the educational and professional program, main goals, educational components that contribute to the formation of general and professional competencies, as well as contribute to the achievement of program learning outcomes. After the speech of the EP’s guarantor, the attendees expressed their proposals for improving the educational program.
Sviatoslav Berdynskykh noted the positive direction of the EP, the presence of educational components, within the framework of which, students study general and specialized software for use in the professional activities of a graphic designer. At the same time, he proposed to clarify the name of the course “Perspective and Shadows” and change it to “Fundamentals of Design Visualization”.

Natalia Kolesnyk drew attention to the importance of expanding the competencies of students in the field of layout of multimedia design objects and the ability to carry out the design process taking into account modern digital technologies, which is ensured by a number of educational components of this educational program.

Colleagues shared their own experience of training designers in higher education institutions in Ukraine and the UK and generally praised the content of the EP, as well as provided suggestions for its improvement. For example, Kateryna Critchlow advised introducing an educational component into the EP related to the topic of artificial intelligence. Roman Shedlovsky suggested adding to the structural and logical scheme of the EP “Multimedia Design” a connection between the courses “Management in the Sphere of Services” and “Complex Design-Projection”. In addition, adding a component related to the development of skills in presenting one’s own design projects to the course “Complex Design-Projection”.

During the event, members of the working groups on the development of the EP and scientific and pedagogical workers of the Department of Multimedia Design (Associate Professors O. Slityuk, R. Khynevych, V. Batrak, V. Sklyarenko, M. Astanin) made proposals and got acquainted with the opinions of stakeholders regarding the constituent educational components of the EP and the need to deepen the study of certain topics in order to improve the quality of specialist training. Graduates of the Department Marharyta Ivanova offered employers cooperation in the development of practical production tasks for students as part of the educational process.
Bachelor students O. Umanets, V. Zaichenko, P. Kviatkovska and others actively participated in the discussion. Student Tetiana Kryveniuk made suggestions for improving the EP “Multimedia Design” and suggested adding more components to the EP related to motion and animation design.
Guarantor Olena Vasyieva thanked for the comments and recommendations and noted that the educational program has positive changes and improvements in the structural and logical scheme of teaching the courses.
As a result of the online meeting, a number of proposals from the stakeholders were agreed upon to improve the educational and professional bachelor's degree program of higher education B2 “Multimedia Design", which will be taken into account for admission in 2025.
