News -2025 OPEN DAY AT THE FACULTY OF DESIGN

On March 22, 2025, the Faculty of Design held an Open Day. Applicants for the B2 “Design” specialty were welcomed by Kalyna Pashkevych, Dean of the Faculty of Design, Olena Herasymenko and Lyudmila Melnyk, Deputy Deans for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of the Faculty of Design, and Heads of Departments of the Faculty of Design: Natalia Chuprina, Olena Vasylieva, Danylo Kosenko, Ruslana Bezuhla, as well as Olha Semenenko, Head of the Student Trade Union Committee and Viktoria Stepanets, Head of the Student Self-Government of the Faculty of Design.

Representatives of the Faculty of Design discussed the admission rules for bachelor's programs "Graphic Design", "Multimedia Design", "Environmental Design", "Fashion Design" and master's programs "Design (by types)", "Environmental Design", "Fashion Design". They highlighted the specific admission requirements for creative specialties in 2025.

According to the Procedure for Admission to Higher Education in 2025, applicants for creative specialties will be required to take the National Multi-Subject Test and a creative competition. Admission to both budget-funded and contract-based programs will require applicants to take the National Multi-Subject Test in four subjects. Three subjects will be mandatory: Ukrainian language, mathematics, and history of Ukraine. The fourth subject will be chosen by the applicant from the following options: Ukrainian literature, geography, biology, physics, chemistry, English, German, French, or Spanish. Instead of the 2025 National Multi-Subject Test results, applicants may also use their results from 2022, 2023, or 2024.

Registration for participation in the National Multi-Subject Test will last from March 6 to April 3, 2025. To register for the National Multi-Subject Test, the applicant must independently create a personal account on the website of the Ukrainian Center for Education Quality Assessment.

Deputy Dean Olena Herasymenko presented the departments of the Faculty of Design, the heads of departments explained to the participants of the meeting the tasks of the creative competition for various educational programs of the Faculty of Design, KNUTD, in the B2 “Design” specialty.

Students Olha Semenenko and Viktoria Stepanets spoke to prospective students and their parents, sharing information about the various events held for students at the University. The prospective students asked questions and received comprehensive answers regarding the tasks of the creative competition, study and accommodation conditions, as well as the deadlines for registration for the competition and the competitive selection process. After the presentation, the department heads guided the prospective students on a tour of the classrooms.

The Open Day was held in a hybrid format – some of the attendees joined via a Zoom link.
