ACQUISITION OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE DURING PRODUCTION AND RESEARCH PRACTICE BY STUDENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FASHION AND STYLE

Traditionally, in February-March, applicants for the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education of the educational programs "Modeling, Design and Artistic Decoration of Light Industry Products", "Design and Technology of Garments" underwent production and research practice at garment factories and companies.

Thus, from February 10 to March 8, 2025, modern enterprises of Ukraine of various forms of ownership, specializing in the manufacture of a wide variety of products: branded clothing, wedding dresses, special clothing, upholstered furniture, latex clothing, corsetry and lingerie, wetsuits, etc., provided the opportunity for applicants for education to deepen and consolidate theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired during the study of educational components.

For applicants for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education, practical training turned out to be meaningful, exciting and extremely informative. Students worked on modern sewing equipment; reinforced theoretical knowledge with practical skills in developing clothing patterns using CAD systems "Julivi", "Investronica", "CLO3D"; introduced new clothing models into production; compiled a technological sequence for manufacturing products of various assortments and purposes, etc.

Students got acquainted with the structure of sewing enterprises of various capacities and the features of production process management, organization of workplaces and technological processes, as well as ways of their improvement depending on the range of sewing products, materials and accessories for their manufacture. Working in teams provided an opportunity for students to strengthen professional and general competencies in business communication, teamwork, the ability to conduct a discussion in the field of light industry technologies; independent performance of typical professional tasks; use of modern information systems and technology, general and specialized software in professional activities; performance of engineering calculations necessary for professional activities, adhering to known methods and current regulatory documents; formation and defense of one's own ideological and public position, act socially responsible and conscious, etc.

Applicants for the second (master's) level of higher education, the first year, completed a research internship program based on an in-depth study of modern technologies and innovations in the field of light industry. Students worked on individual projects, developed and optimized the processes of manufacturing products in production conditions, analyzed the latest materials and production methods. Thus, student Karina Arendar gained valuable experience through research internship at a sewing enterprise of a long-term partner of KNUTD "FLAXPOL" (Kluczborg, Republic of Poland). During the internship, the student had the opportunity to familiarize herself with the requirements of European quality standards and certification of protective clothing, participate in improving the production processes of special-purpose suits, and also develop and manufacture a product based on modern European sewing production.

The management of the enterprises highly appreciated the professional competence of the students, as evidenced by the offers for further employment. Their diligence, perseverance, desire for new knowledge and interest in gaining practical experience were especially noted.

The staff of the department expresses sincere gratitude to the management and employees of the enterprises and organizations for the opportunity to undergo internships, which was an important step in the professional development of the students. Such assistance in the professional development of our students, the creation of the necessary conditions, as well as support in consolidating theoretical knowledge is an invaluable contribution to their formation as highly qualified specialists.
