RESULTS OF THE III ALL-UKRAINIAN SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS AND STUDENTS "DOMINANTS OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF UKRAINE IN NEW REALITIES"

On March 28, 2025 the III All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference of young scientists and students "Dominants of social and economic development of Ukraine in new realities" was held.

The conference was aimed at creating a professional platform for the exchange of ideas and research results of young scientists and students on key challenges, innovative trends and strategic directions of socio-economic development of Ukraine in the context of global transformations. The scientific relevance and urgency of the issues under study is due to the need to form a scientific outlook and develop the research competencies of future specialists in the context of reconstruction and modernization of the national economy during the war and post-war periods. The conference was held in a hybrid format in compliance with the established security requirements.

The conference was organized with the active participation of leading Ukrainian and international educational and scientific institutions, as well as professional associations, including the Union of Advertisers of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Marketing Association, and the Institute of Economic Nationalism, which actively contribute to the development of scientific thought and support of youth initiatives at the University.

The moderator of the plenary session of the conference was the Dean of the Faculty of Management and Business Design, Doctor of Economics, Professor Mariana Shkoda, who introduced the Presidium of the conference to the participants and handed over the floor to Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Activities, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Laureate of the Borys Paton National Prize of Ukraine Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko for the opening ceremony.

On behalf of the Rector of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology Ivan Hryshchenko, Vice-Rector opened the plenary session of the conference.

In her welcoming remarks, the Vice-Rector explicitly emphasized the urgent and decisive importance of intensifying the research activity of the younger generation of scientists and applicants in the context of counteracting the numerous negative consequences of the war in Ukraine, which has destabilized the global economic space and created unprecedented threats to the sustainable socio-economic development of the state.

Special emphasis was placed on the strategic importance of Ukraine's integration into the European research and education area, which is seen as a key element in enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and strengthening its innovation potential. In this context, the imperative of expanding international scientific collaboration, initiating and actively participating in joint research programs and projects with leading foreign research centers and universities was emphasized.

At the plenary session of the conference, leading experts and representatives of the academic community delivered scientific reports and welcoming speeches, including:

  • Vitaliy VENGER, Doctor of Economics, Senior Researcher, Department of Trade and Industrial Policy, Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, presented the results of fundamental research that have significant practical value for the development of foreign economic activity strategies. His report was devoted to the analysis and forecasting of market conditions, as well as modeling of export-import flows, with an emphasis on their impact on the competitiveness of the national economy and ensuring the economic security of the state.

  • Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of Industrial Marketing of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” Zhanna ZHYHALKEVYCH in her scientific report focused on the justification of development and the determining role of quasi-integration processes in the context of increasing the adaptive potential of business entities to a volatile external environment and their ability to innovate. The professor paid special attention to the fundamental importance of student research for ensuring sustainable development and a promising future for Ukraine, and also expressed her gratitude to the students of KNUTD for their active participation in relevant initiatives at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, in particular. In particular, the applicants who demonstrated a high level of academic training and practical skills by successfully performing at the All-Ukrainian Marketing Olympiad organized at NTUU “KPI” were awarded.

  • Olena PTASHCHENKO, Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Trade of the Western Ukrainian National University, addressed the conference participants remotely using the Zoom platform. In her welcoming remarks, the professor expressed her gratitude to the organizing committee for the opportunity to participate and wished for all those present constructive discussions and significant scientific results as a result of the conference.

  • Tetiana CHERPAK, Head of the Office for the Development of Public Activity and Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations of the Department of Public Communications of the Executive Body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration), emphasized in her speech the importance of consolidating the scientific potential and resources of civil society to address the pressing problems of socio-economic development of the capital region.

  • D. in Public Administration, Associate Professor of the Department of National Security, Management and Public Administration at the Chernihiv Institute of Information, Business and Law of the Academician Yurii Buhay International Scientific and Technical University, co-founder of the NGO “Institute of Economic Nationalism”, economic expert, Yurii HAVRYLECHKO, joined the conference participants in the format of remote participation. In his address, he expressed his deep gratitude to the organizing committee for the opportunity to interact intellectually and wished all participants a fruitful exchange of ideas and significant scientific achievements.

  • Ivan SKOROKHODOV, Marketing Director at Softorg, presented the results of practical activities focused on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into marketing processes. In his presentation, he elaborated on the innovative opportunities that AI opens for small and medium-sized businesses, in particular in the field of marketing campaign automation, personalization of customer interaction, and optimization of marketing budgets.

Yevhen ROMAT, Doctor of Science in Public Administration, Academician of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine, Professor of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Chairman of the Union of Advertisers of Ukraine, Editor-in-Chief of Marketing and Advertising magazine, delivered a welcoming video address to the conference participants, emphasizing the importance of stimulating the research work of students and noting the high level of scientific activity of students of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design in professional competitions.

  • Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of the Academy of the Graduate School of Business (Akademia WSB w Dąbrowie Górniczej), Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poland, Rafał REBILAS.
  • Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and Business Management at the University of Foggia (Università degli Studi di Foggia), Italy, Maglioci PIERPAOLO.

It should be noted that the conference was attended by more than 150 leading scientists, graduate students, students, experts, representatives of the academic community and business environment from Ukraine, Poland and Italy.

The conference featured four thematic discussion platforms that provided a professional exchange of views among applicants and young scientists, as well as research results in key areas of socio-economic development of Ukraine in the new realities:

  1. Problems and prospects for the development of the financial and credit system of Ukraine in the context of increased requirements for financial security. The participants of the platform focused on analyzing the current problems of the financial sector, justifying the need to transform credit and financial mechanisms, and strengthening the stability of the banking system in the context of the wartime and post-war phases of economic development. Particular attention was paid to the integration of advanced financial technologies and prospects for the development of the FinTech industry as an important factor in improving the efficiency and competitiveness of the financial market.
  2. Public and corporate governance in the post-war recovery of Ukraine. The main focus of the discussion was on the issues of ensuring transparency and increasing the efficiency of management decisions at the state and corporate levels. The issues of improving state and municipal management and adapting corporate governance models to new economic realities were discussed. The scientific reports that revealed the potential of digitalization of management processes and implementation of the principles of environmental, social and governance responsibility (ESG) as key factors of sustainable development were of great interest. Among them, the following reports should be highlighted.
  3. Trends in the development of marketing technologies in the context of digitalization. Young scientists presented the results of research on the use of digital tools in marketing activities, the use of artificial intelligence technologies, social media and innovative approaches to communication with target audiences. They emphasized the growing importance of personalizing marketing strategies and analyzing big data for the formation of sustainable competitive advantages of business entities.
  4. Development of innovative entrepreneurship and startup initiatives in the post-war recovery of Ukraine. The participants of the platform carried out a comprehensive analysis of the potential of startup initiatives in the country's reconstruction, discussed mechanisms for supporting innovative ideas, the role of the state in stimulating entrepreneurial activity and creating new jobs. The discussion included practical cases of successful startups, particularly in the areas of environmentally friendly technologies and digital platforms, demonstrating their contribution to economic recovery."

An electronic collection of materials was created based on the results of the conference.
