DISCUSSION OF EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMS AT THE DEPARTMENT OF PERFORMING ARTS AND CULTURE OF THE KNUTD

During the week from March 10 to 15, 2025, the Department of Performing Arts and Culture of the KNUTD held a discussion of the draft 2025 educational and professional program "Theatre and Cinema Actor's Skills" of the specialty B6 Performing Arts of the field of knowledge B Culture, Art and Humanities, as well as the current educational and professional program "Acting Skills and Production " of the specialty 026 Performing Arts of the field of knowledge 02 Culture and Art with the participation of external and internal stakeholders: applicants for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education of the specialty 026 Performing Arts; scientific and pedagogical employees of the Department of SMC; representatives and employers of theater and art institutions; graduates.

During the meeting, Vira BURNAZOVA, Head of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture, outlined a number of key issues related to the implementation of the provisions of the regulatory documents of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine regarding the implementation of the educational component "Basic Combined Military Training" in 2025.

OPP Guarantor Lidia MAKARENKO highlighted key aspects of improving the educational process at OPP, namely: updating the curriculum taking into account modern trends in theater and film art; expanding project activities to prepare students for real work conditions; strengthening the interdisciplinary approach, involving employers and graduates in the formation of educational modules and assessing their relevance; improving the internship system and partnerships with theaters, film companies and production centers.

During the meetings, proposals from higher education applicants were considered to increase the number of master classes and trainings; involve applicants in filming processes and theatrical productions; expand the topics in educational components related to digital technologies (working with TikTok , YouTube , Netflix ), continue to update the material and technical base (equipment, software, library funds), include disciplines in tactical training and stress resistance , as well as strengthen elements of stage combat and physical training.

The scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture emphasized the need to update the curriculum in accordance with modern requirements, expand project activities, strengthen interdisciplinarity , involve employers in the formation of training modules, and improve the internship system.

During the meeting, the heads and representatives of theater and art institutions: Maryna Serhiivna SMILIANETS - director of the Theater on Mykhailivska, Kyiv, playwright , producer ; German Borisovich ARKHIPOV - Honored Artist of Ukraine, general producer of the Zebra Production Center , Kyiv; Igor Olegovich KONOVALOV - deputy director of the Municipal Institution "Theatrical and Entertainment Cultural Institution "Creative Workshop "Puppet Theater", Kyiv; Kateryna Oleksandrivna LESCHCHENKO - deputy artistic director of "TOTHEATR", Kyiv; Olga STELMASHEVSKA - theater and music critic , theater expert , journalist, PR specialist , head of the Information, Marketing and International Projects Service of the Lesya Ukrainka National Drama Theater; Hanna Oleksandrivna SUPROVYCH - Director of the KPMZ " Ivankovychiv School of Arts"; Yuriy Fedorovych HLEBA - Honored Worker of Culture, Artistic Director of the Mukachevo Drama Theater; Artem Oleksandrovych FISTUN - Honored Worker of Arts, Artistic Director of the Mykolaiv Art Academic Drama Theater; Mykhailo Andriyovych KULYNYAK - Candidate of Art History, Associate Professor, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Contemporary Art NAKKKiM , Oksana Andriyivna HISA - Candidate of Art History, Associate Professor of the Department of Musicology and Methods of Musical Art of the Volodymyr Hnatyuk Ternopil National Pedagogical University and others expressed their wishes and recommendations for improving the current OPP and the OPP 2025 project.

Employers' recommendations were primarily aimed at implementing educational components on self-presentation, media literacy , and working in a digital environment (promotion on social networks, participation in online castings, etc.; expanding opportunities for internships not only in the city of Kyiv, but also in regional theaters, film companies, and production centers; teaching elements of psychological resilience, working with stress, which is important for the acting profession; introduction of employment courses focused on developing skills in creating portfolios, video business cards , and professional castings.

During the constructive dialogue, graduates of the specialty 026 Performing Arts Olga PETROVSKA, Igor SALIMONOV, Ruslan PIDGURSKYY, Alina DZYUMAK, Tetyana MIROSHNYCHENKO, Anna NOVOBRANETS, Kateryna LESCHCHENKO, Roman OSAULENKO, Daria BURCHAK, Rufat MAMEDOV, Anastasia TARKANIY, Artem PEPEVERZEV shared their professional achievements and achievements, who proposed ideas for the implementation of the educational and professional program "Theatre and Cinema Actor's Skills", as well as improving the educational and professional program "Acting Skills and Production " based on their own professional experience. Their recommendations are focused on creating educational projects that have a chance to be implemented on a professional stage or in cinema; studying film language , understanding the frame, the specifics of acting in cinema; developing skills in finding funding, submitting grant applications; introducing disciplines focused on the actor's personal psychological preparation, and learning how to deal with stress and emotional burnout.

Of course, all proposals provided by external and internal stakeholders are aimed at improving the quality of the educational process, its compliance with modern labor market requirements and the competitiveness of graduates and will be taken into account in the draft educational and professional programs for 2025.
