INFORMATION PRACTICES IN HYBRID REALITY: MONOGRAPH BY SERHII MATIASH AND LILIIA KUZNETSOVA

The Department of Performing Arts and Culture presents the publication of the monograph “Transformations of Socio-Cultural Space, the Networked World and Information Practices”, authored by Candidate of Philosophy, Associate Professor Serhii Matiash and co-authored by Liliia Kuznetsova.

The monograph is dedicated to fundamental issues related to changes in the socio-cultural space in the digital age. The authors analyse in depth the network technologies that change communication practices, cultural and social interaction in society.

In their scientific work, the authors thoroughly analyze interdisciplinary approaches – including sociology, cultural studies, communication studies, and the philosophy of the information society – and examine information practices in the context of a hybrid reality, where the boundaries between various activity formats are increasingly blurred.

The monograph places special emphasis on significant issues such as digital inequality, manipulation in the information space, and the impact of vast amounts of information on society.

This work not only aims to deepen the understanding of new socio-cultural realities but also calls for further research. For scientists, socio-cultural process researchers, and digital communication specialists, the monograph serves as a valuable source of analysis and new ideas. It is also an essential study for enhancing the quality of the educational process and fostering critical thinking among higher education students.

Thus, the monograph not only broadens the understanding of the networked world and information practices but also highlights the fundamental changes occurring in the socio-cultural fabric of modern society under the influence of digital technologies and the evolution of networked communications.
