On April 9, 2025, students of the Department of Chemical Technologies and Resource Saving, along with faculty members and employers, celebrated Career Day. The event opened at the Youth Business Center with welcoming speeches from the Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies, Tetiana Derkach, and the Head of the Department of Chemical Technologies and Resource Saving, Viktoriia Plavan.
The attendees also enjoyed an inspiring film showcasing the achievements of KNUTD, created to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the University. Unfortunately, due to an air raid warning, the event had to be continued in a shelter.
Volodymyr SYDORENKO, a 2025 graduate of KNUTD and currently the Chief Technologist at the polymer processing enterprise "Aleana", addressed the students. He spoke about the company’s operations and current job openings, introduced attendees to its product range, and shared his personal career journey within the company.
The students were also intrigued by the presentation from representatives of "Plastics-Ukraine". HR department staff delivered an engaging presentation on the company’s activities as a major distributor of polymer materials for the industrial and construction sectors.
In addition, Oleksandr PAVLIY, General Director of the Scientific and Production Company "Diagnostic Devices", spoke to the students. He introduced them to modern methods of non-destructive testing for various materials and emphasized the importance of strong engineering education for today’s specialists, highlighting their growing demand in the labor market.
Our colleagues introduced the students to key labor market trends and the current requirements for job applicants. In a format of open and informal dialogue with employers, both students and teachers had the opportunity to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers.
We sincerely thank all participants for the engaging discussion and look forward to continued collaboration!
